Ship Your Parts to Barrio Logan Powder Coating

Not local to San Diego? No problem. Automotive enthusiasts, bike builders, and restoration hobbyists nationwide trust us to give their metal parts a show-quality, bulletproof finish. We make our mail-in powder coating and Cerakote service seamless, safe, and transparent.

How Our Mail-In Service Works

Step 1: Get Your Digital Quote:

Required First Step

Before putting anything in a box, fill out our Online Quote Request Form  Upload clear photos of your parts. We will send you an itemized estimate within 2 (two) business days. Once you approve the estimate, you are cleared to ship.

Step 2: Prep & Clean Your Parts:

Protect Your Package

Degrease your parts as thoroughly as possible. All fluids, oils, shocks, bearings, and rubber bushings must be completely removed. Items shipped with active oil leaks or non-removable rubber cannot go into our ovens and may incur a cleaning fee.

Step 3: Pack It Like It's Fragile:

Secure the Metal

Heavy metal parts love to burst through cardboard during shipping. Wrap each individual piece heavily in bubble wrap. Fill empty box space completely with tightly packed paper or foam so parts cannot smash into each other during transit.

Step 4: Include Your Printout & Ship: The Paper Trail

Print out your approved quote or your contact info and place it inside the box. Ship your package using USPS, UPS, or FedEx to our shop address, and email us your tracking number so we can watch for its arrival. You can certainly use other shipping services, but we generally get packages from the above mentioned regularly.

Our Shipping Policy & Fine Print

Important Note on Return Shipping: Customers are fully responsible for shipping costs both ways. Once your parts are finished, cured, and wrapped, we will add the exact return shipping cost to your final QuickBooks invoice. Once the invoice is paid, your parts ship back out with tracking numbers provided instantly via text/email.

Mail-In Guidelines Checklist

  • Maximum Size Limits: Check with your shipper of choice on how to best limit size and weight.
  • Masking Instructions: Include a note in your box specifying exactly which areas must remain bare metal (mating surfaces, threads, VIN numbers, or bearing journals). If you don't specify, we will use our professional judgment.
  • Transit Damage: We are not responsible for items damaged or lost by the shipping carrier on their way to us. We highly recommend buying shipping insurance on valuable custom fabrications or rare vintage parts.
